Eamon Cleary’s, Ballyanne Sim, took third place in his quarter final of the English Greyhound Derby, at Nottingham, on Saturday night, to qualify for next week’s semi-finals.
Smartly away from traps, he showed his trademark early pace to build up a commanding lead, he was only collared round the final bend by Queen Beyone, and Clonbrien Prince nabbed him for the runner-up spot on the line by a head, in 29.56.
He has drawn trap four in the first semi-final, and is currently trading at 25/1
