Marti Rudd’s, Monbeg Equity (ISH), won the first RDS Three Year Old Potential Event Horse Qualifier at Barnadown on Monday.
Sixty horses competed for the three qualifying positions on offer, the bay home bred gelding, by O.B.O.S. Quality 004, impressed the judges, UK event rider, Richard Jones, and and Adrian Murray, they placed him joint first in the class.
Marti and her husband run the very successful “Monbeg Sport Horses” from their base in Ballindaggin.
In third place was Golden Quantum for Killanne owner/breeder Dan Galavan.
Mary Bolger’s, Drumhowan, a bay gelding, by Colandro (HOLST), out of Aster (KWPN), by Crown Z (ZANG), took fourth place on the night, and is the reserve for the final.
The final of the class takes place on the opening evening of the Dublin Horse Show, Wednesday the 7th of August.
