New Ross is last district to complete counting

The final Count as the resturns from New Ross Municipal District were announced. wexfordToday.com

Well-known Wexford GAA personality Pat Barden from Adamstown, running as an Independent, topped the poll in the New Ross Municipal District. Although it was his first foray into the political scene his runaway success came as no surprise across the district.
Michael Sheehan, who was first elected to New Ross Town Council in 1999 also confirmed his popularity and came in as a close runner-up.
Michael Whelan retained his seat and John Fleming, Anthony Connick and Bridín Murphy were elected without reaching the quota. The Count concluded at 8.30 pm.
