The second of the RDS Showjumping Qualifiers took place in the Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan, in Northern Ireland, on Wednesday.

Sophie Richards, riding Carol Gee’s, MHS Fernhill, won the 7&8yo Qualifier, the Barnadown based rider, has a little over half a second to spare over her nearest rival, Eddie Moloney.

Good Counsel Leaving Cert student had a good afternoon, he qualified Essenar High Hopes in the 8yo section and took the runner-up spot in the 5yo class with David Cullen’s J’Adore.

In the 4yo qualifier Jason Higgins & Heritage MBF took fourth place, and Michaeli Byrne partnered Boleybawn Bella to take fifth place to book their ticket for this years Dublin Horse Show in August.
