Tomorrow’s weather forecast is for dry conditions over Wexford with temperatures peaking at around 16 degrees Celsius which is good news for everybody attending the Wednesday afternoon races at Bettyville Park.
61 horses have been declared for the seven-race card with a total prize-fund of €79,500.
Ground conditions are “Good” and watering has been applied.
Plenty of local trainers with runners which should engage the attention of the punters, while local jockeys will also be attempting to keep as many prizes as possible in the sunny south-east.
THE CARD IS AS FOLLOWS;
2.05 pm; The Welcome To Wexford Racecourse Maiden Hurdle of €11,000. 2 miles, 4 furlongs (12 runners).
2.35 pm; The Rosslare Mares Handicap Hurdle of €12,000 (Rated 80-109). 2 miles, 4 furlongs (9 runners).
3.10 pm; The Mount Leinster Hurdle of €12,500. 3 miles (5 runners).
3.40 pm; The Loch Garman Handicap Hurdle of €10,000 (Rated 80-95). 2 miles (11 runners).
4.10 pm; The Vinegar Hill Beginners Steeplechase of €12,000. 3 miles, 1 furlong and 100 yards (6 runners).
4.40 pm; The Wexford Handicap Steeplechase of €12,000. 2 miles (8 runners).
5.10 pm; The Racing Again June 5th INH Flat Race of €10,000. 2 miles, 4 furlongs (10 runners).
The organisers are confident of good mid-week support and standard of racing should be keen.
