Wexford face Louth in the opening round of the Leinster Senior Football Championship on Sunday at 3pm in Innovate Wexford Park.
Paddy Powers install Louth as 8/15 favourites, Wexford are chalked up slightly better than 2/1 at 21/10, and you can back a draw at 15/2, but the prices are certainly not a true reflection on the likely outcome of this game, and the 21/10 may well prove value on the home-side.
Wexford will have little to fear from Louth, the north Leinster men took fourth place in Division 3 of this year’s Allianz Football League, with wins against, Down, Sligo, Offaly, and Laois, a draw against Westmeath, and they lost out to Carlow and Longord.
After a shaky start in Division 4 of the Allianz League, Wexford had victories against Antrim, Derry, and Limerick.
