Wexford manager, Davy Fitzgerald, had a watchful brief in this Group B encounter in round 2 of the Pettitts Senior Hurling Championship at Bellefield on Saturday evening.

Oulart were fastest from the blocks and were a goal up after just 19 seconds, their second goal was somewhat fortunate, the attempted point from a free, came back off the upright, and fell nicely to Peter Sutton who made no mistake.

The game will be forever remembered for Ciaran O’Connor’s missile of a strike late in the second half.

A draw was a fair result for both sides, but after the two games in the group, Oulart, Ratnure and Glynn have one point each.
