Wexford hosts HSI Performance class on Monday

The facilities at the Tomhaggard venue are some of the best in the country

Wexford Equestrian Centre hosts the opening leg of the HSI sponsored, Three & Four Year Old Loose Jumping Filly Horse & Pony Competitions, next Monday afternoon at 3pm.

These competitions are for 3 & 4 year old fillies and aim to identify performance fillies at a young age that may be suitable for the broodmare herd. An inaugural pony loose jumping competition will run alongside the horse competition.

These competitions are open to any 3 & 4 year old filly that is registered in an approved DAFM Studbook , WBFSH Studbook (horse) or EU Studbook (pony).  Passports must be available for inspection by staff and judges at the competitions.

The judges for the competitions are well know International show jumpers, Francis Connors and Captain Geoff Curran.

There are 22 horses entered, divided equally between three year olds and four year olds, and six ponies.

Admission is free and the cafe will be open serving refreshments.

The venues and dates for the three legs around the country are listed below,

Wexford Equestrian Centre on Monday 26th November

Cavan Equestrian Centre on Thursday 29th November

Topflight Equestrian Centre Kilkenny on Monday 3rd December.
