Due to the cancellation of the National Hunt meeting at Thurles on Thursday, October 25th, Horse Racing Ireland has announced that two races from the original seven race programme will be transferred to Wexford over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The Leugh Handicap Hurdle (Rated 80-95) over two miles will transfer to Wexford on Sunday, October 28th, (now becomes Race 308H and closes for entries on Tuesday, October 23rd along with the rest of the Wexford meeting.
The Premier County Mares Handicap Hurdle (Rated 80-102) over two miles, six furlongs and 216 yards will transfer to Wexford on Monday, October 29th, and will be run over two miles and six furlongs (now becomes Race 309H and closes for entries on Wednesday, October 24th.
This means that the Wexford card will be extended from seven races to eight races on both days and will add extra interest in the final race meeting at Bettyville Park for the 2018 season.
