New Ross Rugby Club got their Leinster League Division 2A campaign off to a losing start this afternoon to Newbridge RC on a scoreline of 27-10 at Allianz Park Southknock.

The home side made a bright opening to the game scoring the first try, but conceded two late tries to trail 10-05 at half-time. Newbrige increased their lead early in the second half 15-05, before Ross made it 15-10, but the visitors scored two more tries, plus a conversion to leave the full-time score 27-10.
