Three Wexford boxers, Mia Robins, Adam Kinsella, and Keenan Roche, represented Ireland on Friday evening, against England, in St Brigid’s Boxing Club, Edenderry.
On the night Ireland won the 20 bout international on a scoreline of 12-8. Both countries are currently preparing for next month’s European Junior Male and Female Championships in Anapa, Russia.
In the 48kg division, Adam Kinsella, St.Mary’s Boxing Club, New Ross, beat Joe McGrail 3-2.
Keelan Roche, boxing out of the St Aidans Boxing Club, Ferns, beat Ellis Price 4-1 in the 54kg section.
Gorey’s, National Champion, Mia Robbins, lost out to a much more experienced rival in the shape of, Chantel Whiting, in the 50kg Girls section.
