No sanction for Wexford hurlers as Allianz fixtures released

Lee Chin "go off together and have a bit of fun in each other's company".

The Wexford senior hurling team have not been penalised for their trip to Portugal last April, it was described by Lee Chin that the team would, “go off together and have a bit of fun in each other’s company”.

At a special Congress last September, a motion was passed that would take away home advantage for one game in the following year’s league for any county found to have breached the ban on training camps once the league was completed and outside the 10-day window prior to a championship match.

It was feared that as many as 10 counties could face sanction, the provisional league fixtures have been released and none of the counties appear to have been sanctioned.

Wexford open their League campaign with a home game against All-Ireland champions, Limerick, with the other home games, Tipperary and Kilkenny, and they have difficult away games to Cork and Clare.

The footballers face a difficult away game in round one to Leitrim, they have seven games in all, four away games, the others being against, London, Wicklow and Derry.
