The final leg of the the National Grand Prix takes place today at Barnadown in north Wexford, Tipperary’s, Liam O’Meara, already has the league in the bag, all that is to be decided is with which of his horses, only 2 points separate Curraghgraigue Jack Take Flight and Mr Coolcaum.
The competition has attracted an entry of 72, the first horse is due in the ring at 12.30pm, and local interest will centre on Steven Smith & Dartans Quality Brigade and Sophie Richards & Gradje O.
The final of the Irish Breeders Classic will commence at 12.30pm on Sunday, the competition boasts a prize fund of 33,000 euro, the 25 finalists have been whittled down from an original entry of 91.
Local interest will centre on the Jason Higgins partnered, Seeking Fortune, the 5yo gelding by Heritage Fortunus, out of the Veneur Du Marais mare, Jade Des Cotes.
The final of the TRM/ HSI New Heights Series takes place after the Classic, it carries a pot of 10,000 euro, and will also decide the outcome of this years league, any of ten combinations can lift the title so we should be guaranteed an exciting finale.
