Limerick stats man spent 3 years with Oulart

Sean O'Donnell played a huge part in the Oulart success story

Sean O’Donnell is the Video Analysis Guy or Stats Man for the Limerick Senior Hurling team that contests the All-Ireland final on Sunday, but many people do not realise Oulart-The Ballagh availed of his services for 3 years, from 2015 to 2017.

The Garryspillane teacher, resides in Kildorrery, County Cork, he was the statistician for the Cork Senior Hurling team for several years but stepped down in 2017, and the Limerick manager, John Kiely, persuaded him to join his native County.

Video analysis is now part of most clubs’ set up

Diarmuid O’Sullivan, the former Cork hurler and footballer, who was part of Kieran Kingston’s management that stepped down at the end of the 2017 season, speaks highly of O’Donnell,

I don’t think you could find a better guy in the game of hurling to provide you with the kind of detailed information he can provide you with, and real time information”.

O’Donnell’s expertise is held in high regard throughout the country, he has been part of the Ballygunner set up for several years, he joined the Oulart team in 2015 and was very much part of the Leinster final success of that year.
