Three Wexford hurlers, Damien Fitzhenry, Liam Dunne and Martin Storey, have been named on the “Hurling Team Of The 90’s” and they will be honoured before the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final on Sunday in Croke Park.
The selection panel consisted of John Horan, GAA President, Martin Breheny, Irish Independent, Sean Moran, Irish Times, Michael Lyster, RTE, Brian Carty, Jim O’Sullivan, RnaG’s Martán Ó Ciardha, and Sean Bán Breathnach.
The 90’s were very competitive and the Liam MacCarthy was won by six different counties, Clare, Cork, Kilkenny and Offaly won it twice, and Tipperary and Wexford also won it.
Wexford, Offaly and Clare are best represented on this team – they have three players each
