Wexford’s first ever Africa Day will be celebrated at The Presentation Centre, Enniscorthy, from 12 noon till 2.30 pm on Friday, May 25th and people from all over the county are encouraged to engage with the Africa Day celebrations and experience the culture of new vibrant communities.

This is a free lunchtime event for all to enjoy and is being hosted by Enniscorthy Municipal District Council in association with Wexford Local Development. The programme will involve speakers, photography, music, food and a living library of experiences to be shared by all.
Spearheaded by Irish Aid, Africa Day also offers a chance to take stock of the unique cultural and economic links between Ireland and this hugely diverse continent.
Africa Day is a celebration of the continuing contribution of the African diaspora to all aspects of daily life in contemporary Ireland.
