According to social media posts, wedding plans are well underway for a wedding ceremony in Bunclody next Tuesday, involving a local family.
Anxiety is brewing among some of the family, with one close family member seeking recommendations on Facebook as to whether hairdressing, beauty and nail appointments can be secured in the current environment.
Meanwhile WexfordToday has also learned that a wedding due to take place in Bunclody yesterday involving another local family was postponed at short notice, leaving the couple and their families waiting for another day. Weddings goers were busy purchasing balloons, and light refreshments throughout the day in local shops.
It is an appropriate time to remind people that the government’s road-map for re-opening society indicates that small weddings and other religious practices within places of worship (where social distancing can be maintained) are not due to resume until phase 4, which is currently penciled in for July 20th.
