The rescheduled Wexford v Kilkenny National Hurling League game is due to take place this Sunday at 3pm in Nowlan Park, following a postponement last week as a result of a positive Covid test result on a member of the Wexford panel.

Since then, Wexford GAA have announced that no further cases have been identified.

However, there are fresh doubts as to whether the fixture will proceed, given that a Kilkenny player returned a positive test earlier this week. That has resulted in the Kilkenny panel and management obtaining tests ahead of Sunday. The results of those tests are expected to be known sometime this evening.

If any of those Kilkenny tests return a positive result then the match is unlikely to proceed.
