Wexford GAA Appoint CEO

Wexford GAA has announced the appointment of Gavin O Donovan as CEO/Operations Manager. Gavin will move from INNOVATE, a leading IT and cloud solutions provider, where he was Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for finance, people, strategy, legal, and risk management activities.

He is a Chartered Accountant by profession, having trained in KPMG, and brings with him a depth of leadership and commercial experience.

Gavin is a member of Buffers Alley GAA and Camogie Clubs and has been involved in the GAA all his life. He has played hurling and football with Dunnamaggin, Crumlin and Buffers Alley, managed and coached various teams and held numerous administrative roles. He is currently Vice-Chairperson of Buffers Alley GAA Club and is involved in coaching at nursery and U6 Camogie levels.

He is married to Noelle, a daughter of the legendary Tony Doran.

He will be responsible for working with the County Executive to develop the vision and strategies of the GAA within the county and for implementing short and long-term plans to achieve the Association’s goals. He will provide direction and leadership to management and staff and oversee the effective development of Wexford GAA
