Labour Ignore Calls to Limit Social Contacts

George Lawlor (L) and Brendan Howlin (Centre)

Prominent Labour Party politicians George Lawlor and Brendan Howlin, went to Rosslare Europort today to view DFDS ships carry out berthing exercises prior to the commencement of service in January.

In a time when people have been asked to limit their social contacts, and hours ahead of the re-introduction of harsh restriction (which the Labour party have continually supported), the local Labour duo felt that going to Rosslare to watch a ship berthing was essential.

As a widely acclaimed vocalist, perhaps Cllr Lawlor was considered essential due to his ability to serenade the crew on their welcome arrival in Rosslare.

It appears as though most progress in Rosslare Europort has occurred since the former Minister and Labour leader Howlin lost his position of influence in government. Although credit must be given to him for his part in securing the construction of the M11 motorway to the renowned port of Oylegate.
