Boil Water Notice Lifted

Irish Water and Wexford County Council wishes to notify consumers that following completion of remedial measures and the receipt of satisfactory monitoring results, the boil water notice in place is now lifted with immediate effect.

This decision follows consultation undertaken with the Health Service Executive. Following consultation with the Health Service Executive, Irish Water, working in partnership with Wexford County Council issued a Boil Water Notice for the Sow Regional Public Water Supply on 12/11/2020. 

All affected consumers on the Sow Regional Public Water Supply can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.

Irish Water and the Wexford County Council – Health Service Executive Water Local Liaison Group will continue to meet and review ongoing process control, monitoring and testing of the drinking water supply.

The Irish Water Customer Contact Centre (1850 278 278) is available to answer customer queries in relation to the lifting of this notice. Further information is available on our website at www.water.ie.

Irish Water and Wexford County Council acknowledge the patience, cooperation and assistance of affected consumers during the period of the Boil Water notice and greatly regrets any inconvenience caused to householders and the business community. Irish Water is working at this time, with our local authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of drinking water and wastewater services.
