Independent TD Verona Murphy has welcomed the announcement of 25 high earning jobs for Wexford town following the announcement that an American company is opening its European base in Ardcavan this month.
Following several years of rapid growth, MTech Mobility (MTech) has leased a 1300m² facility at Ardcavan Business Park Wexford, which from later this month, will serve as its European base of operations.
The Florida company is a world leader in providing comprehensive life cycle and repair services for devices of any kind.
Conveniently located from a logistic and staffing point of view, the facility will employ 25 people within three years and recruitment is under way.
Deputy Murphy said the company’s decision to locate their European base in County Wexford shows the potential for further IDA jobs in the county.
“They are taking over the old Sam McCauleys building which is great news. There is massive potential for growth and the first EU contract alone will serve 25,000 devices.”
“I will continue to lobby the IDA and government to attract jobs like these from international companies to Co Wexford.”
