We paid a visit to Via Veneto, an Italian Restaurant, in Enniscorthy, and spoke to Diana Timis, about the challenges of re-opening post-COVID 19.
The pedestrianisation of Weafer Street will be a help, but the 2 metre social distancing rule is going to have a huge impact on their business. Italy has a 1 metre policy, the same as the WHO, even Germany has 1.5 metre distance.
Weafer Street, like lots of the streets in the Enniscorthy, are on a slope, so having tables and chairs outdoors, will certainly pose challenges.
The husband and wife team of Diana Timis and Paolo Fresilli, look forward to re-opening their Restaurant on Wednesday the 3rd of July, they currently have a take-away menu available, from 5-30pm to 9-00pm, Wednesday through to Sunday, contact 053 9236929.
