An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, paid a visit to the COVID-19 community testing centre in Croke Park on Tuesday and praised the GAA volunteers for the way they have assisted the most vulnerable in their communities in recent weeks.
He said,
“Over 80% of GAA Clubs have responded to the community call and are helping out in a million different ways”
“Things are going in the right direction”
“I’m hopeful that we will see a return to sport, not overnight, but, bit by bit, over the next couple of weeks and the next couple of months”
