The HSE have issued some very important information for visitors and those with appointments in Wexford General Hospital:

Outpatient Appointments

All Adult Medical and Paediatric outpatient appointments are postponed.

Day and Inpatient Surgeries

Elective Surgery to be cancelled from Monday, 16 March.

Visiting restrictions

Visitors are not allowed except for:

• people visiting patients at end of life
• people visiting patients in critical care
• parents visiting children
• people assisting confused patients – for example, patients with dementia
• partners of women in the maternity unit

Children should not visit the hospital, even in these cases.

Only one visitor per patient is allowed.
