Vehicle owners missing CVRT Re-Test due to Covid 19

Wexford Independent TD, Verona Murphy has made representations to the RSA calling on an extension to the 21 day CVRT Re-Test period.

Speaking from New Ross on Monday morning, Deputy Murphy said,

“currently there is a delay on parts arriving from suppliers due to the Covid 19 outbreak in China which is causing issues for many vehicle owners. In the case where the 21 day window is missed due to non delivery or unavailability of parts directly caused by supply issues from China, people are having to do a 2nd full test. I am asking the RSA, in light of supply chain issues caused by the Coronavirus closures, to extend the 21 day re-test period, as is customary during the Christmas period”

Ms.Murphy added,

“supply chain issues are already impacting on the ground and it is very important that we take note of these and accommodate the changes, where we can, to alleviate further financial impact on people and businesses.
