Enniscorthy’s ladies seconds emerged as the club’s top scorers from the weekend as they beat North Kildare 4-0 at The Maws in Division 11.

The Slaneysiders started strongly, making numerous circle entries in the first quarter before netting through top scorer Lisa Freyne via a Ciara Murphy pass.

Laura Sutton then doubled the advantage for the visitors in the second quarter, Dervla Walsh acting as provider. Murphy then got her first of the match just before half time.

North Kildare fought their way back into proceedings in the third quarter but the Enniscorthy defence of Robinson, D’Alton and Harrington worked hard to keep Kildare at bay.

Murphy’s second goal of the match – in the fourth quarter – capped an excellent all-round performance from the visiting side.
