Woman badly injured in traffic incident at Mohurry

Gardai are investigating circumstances into a road traffic incident involving three cars at Mohurry Crossroads, near Kiltealy, yesterday evening (Tuesday) which resulted in a local woman being hospitalised with life-changing injuries.

Local sources told WexfordToday.com that a speeding car coming from the Woodbrook area clipped another vehicle at the four-crossroads before running out of control and colliding with a stationary vehicle.

Unfortunately, a woman who had finished her shift at the local shop just a few minutes earlier was placing items in the boot of her car when her vehicle was rammed by an oncoming vehicle.

The woman was badly injured, sustaining numerous fractures, and was treated at the scene by paramedics before removal to hospital. Occupants in other vehicles escaped obvious injury. Garda and fire services were quickly on the scene.
