Ballot boxes have opened at 9 am at the Count Centre at St. Joseph’s Community Centre, Bishopswater. Over 100 staff are involved under the direction of County Registrar Marie Garahy.
191 boxes from across Co. Wexford were used in yesterday’s General Election poll. 15 candidates are chasing five seats in the Wexford Constituency.
Early indications are predicting a high turnout. Much speculation about the five who will be elected, but there is a general consensus that the new Dáil could include two new TDs from Wexford.
No reliable tally figures available at this time.
