Wexford reach U-13 Leinster final

Wexford’s U-13 soccer team, managed by Tommy Byrne, like their U-15 counterparts, booked their place in the Subway Leinster final on Sunday also.

They travelled to Parkvilla FC where they beat the home side 2-0, scoreless at half time, Filip Wasilewski put Wexford ahead, and Troy Sinnott added to that from the penalty spot.

Wexford will now take on DDSL in the Leinster decider at Abbotstown at 12 noon on Sunday.

Sunday’s opposition, DDSL were 3-0 winners over the Midlands League in the other semi-final. Wexford lost out 1-0 when the teams met in the first game at the group stages of the competition.

Wexford went on to win their other three Leinster Group 2 games to take second place and will be aiming to reverse that defeat when they take on the Dublin side this weekend.
