It may be only January, but, Glynn-Barntown have certainly laid down an early marker for this year’s Pettitt’s Senior Hurling Championship, in their appointment of Jason Ryan as trainer, he joins Shane Carley, manager, in this season’s set-up.
Ryan was recently at the helm in Taghmon-Camross for both hurling and football. His background is in soccer, but he is best known as a football manager with Wexford from 2007 to 2012. He brings a wealth of experience to the Glynn set up, he coached the Kildare senior team in 2013 and took over as manager for the following two seasons. At club level, he also trained Clongeen to defeat the Starlights 2-10 to 0-08 to claim the 2007 Football championship.
