Tributes paid in Adamstown farm tragedy

The man who lost his life in a farm accident around mid-day on Monday at The Boola, Adamstown, was father of four, Shane O’Brien, (48), from Kilbraney, Newbawn.

The man was working on a milking parlour when the accident occurred, and emergency services were quickly on the scene.

A spokesperson for the HSA (Health & Safety Authority) confirmed to WexfordToday.com “that a fatal incident on a construction project on a farm in Wexford has been reported to the HSA.”
An Garda Siochána and inspectors from the HAS were at the scene and two investigations are underway.

Reposing at his residence in Kilbraney today (Wednesday) from 3 pm concluding with Rosary at 7.30 pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday. December 19th at 12 noon in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Newbawn. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Thursday please!
