Wexford Garda Division in association with Wexford County Council have launched and announced details of the 4th Annual Wexford Garda Youth Awards for 2020 that will acknowledge the brilliance of our young people within the communities.
Awards will be presented in four categories:
Individual Award – Making a positive contribution to their community, making it a better place to live.
Group Award – Group of two or more, making a positive contribution to their community, making it a better place to live.
Special Achievement Award – Overcome difficult circumstances, defied all the odds and whose commitment deserves recognition.
Community Safety Award – Through a crime prevention or safety initiative/innovation, have made their community a safer place to live.
Anyone can nominate a young person between the age of 13 and 21 years for an award.
Closing date for all nominations is January 31st. All completed nominations to be forwarded to Inspector Rowley at graham.a.rowley@garda.ie or wexford_ds@garda.ie or by post to Wexford Garda Station. If anyone requires clarification, they can contact Inspector Rowley directly on 053-9165280 or their local Garda Station. It is anticipated that the awards ceremony will take place towards the end of February/ beginning of March 2020. A Judging Panel will decide upon the Divisional Winners. The Judging Panel will also nominate an individual/ group in each category to represent Wexford for consideration at the National Garda Youth Awards.
