Paul Galvin may have had a watching brief in the stand as Wexford lost out to Westmeath in St Patrick’s Park on Saturday, but the Kerry man has certainly wasted no time in wielding the axe.
In a rather bizarre move, one of Wexford’s finest players, 33yo Daithi Waters, has been sensationally cut from the squad and will have no part to play in Galvin’s set-up for the coming season.
Many people will be shocked at this decision, the St Martin’s player would be one of the first players named on most people’s team sheet. The level of experience Waters would bring to any team is unquestionable.
Interesting times ahead for the Galvin’s Wexford senior football team.
