Enniscorthy 1
Glenanne 1
Enniscorthy’s men’s first eleven put in a good shift on Saturday at a wet Astro Active Centre but were ultimately foiled by a late Glenanne equaliser to share the points in Division 4.
Charlie Dunne had the only chance for either side in the opening quarter of what was a tight affair, the visitors tightening up after the short break to earn two penalty corners in a row but Graham Hill in the Enniscorthy goal proved equal to the Tallaght attack. Glenanne earned another penalty corner in the quarter before an Enniscorthy penalty corner four minutes before half time.
Niall Maguire put an early third-quarter effort over the bar before a Leo Durnan effort was saved and Enniscorthy earned a flurry of penalty corners of their own. With a minute to go before the break Glenanne exerted serious pressure on Hill’s goal with a flurry of their own penalty corners but to no avail.
The fourth quarter saw the tension crank up a notch, both sides fighting hard. Dunne, William Durnan, and O’Leary linked up well together before Durnan found Dunne with six minutes remaining to open the scoring. It was late, but not late enough as Glenanne equalised with three minutes left on the clock from a penalty corner.

Squad: Graham Hill, David Simmons, Andrew Rothwell, Ivan Rothwell, Seb Rynhart, Aodhan O’Leary, William Durnan, Cian Hogan, Charlie Dunne, Leo Durnan, Niall Maguire, Robin James.
