Today’s race meeting at Wexford goes ahead as scheduled following an early morning inspection of the course.
The track was found to be waterlogged in places yesterday afternoon following 32mm of rain over the previous 48 hours but with a dry forecast the decision was made to inspect the course again this morning.
The track is now fit for racing and the going is Heavy. The first race is due off at 12.50 pm. There are 78 entries for the all-jumping card.
The card is as follows; 12.50 pm; CASEY CONCRETE BLOCKS MAIDEN HURDLE, 2 miles 4 furlongs (17 runners). 1.25 pm; CASEY TARMACADAM MARES HURDLE, 2 miles 4 furlongs (5 runners). 2 pm; CASEY CATTLE SLATS MAIDEN HURDLE, 2 miles, 150 yards (9 runners). 2.35 pm; CASEY CONCRETE GOREY HANDICAP HURDLE, 3 miles (16 runners). 3.10 pm; CASEY BROTHERS SUPPORTING THEIR LOCAL RACECOURSE BEGINNERS CHASE, 2 miles 4 furlongs, (13 runners). 3.45 pm: CASEY PRECAST HANDICAP CHASE, 2 miles 4 furlongs, (9 runners). IRISH STALLION FARM EBF MARES (PRO/AM) FLAT RACE, 2 miles (9 runners).
Admission is €15 for adults; OAP’s and students €10; Children under 16 are FREE.
