Two goals from the stick of Jason Klinkradt gave YMCA all three points at Wesley College on Saturday against Enniscorthy’s men’s second XI in division 6.

Roy Chapman had put Enniscorthy ahead on 26 minutes but the hosts won a penalty corner just a minute later and found an equaliser past the onrushing defence. William Durnan and Chris St. Clair Johnson linked up well – YM finding the latter’s pace difficult to deal with – but it was the Dublin side who took the lead in the third quarter.
The tempo increased as the match progressed with a flurry of opportunities for both teams but the men in black and red held on despite a late chance for Roy Chapman.
Graeme Chapman and his side will be hoping for a change in fortunes when they host Monkstown at the Astro Active Centre at 4.30p.m on Saturday.
