Crossabeg-Ballymurn 1-04 (07)
Cloughbawn 2-09 (15)
Cloughbawn booked their place in this year’s final of the Courtyard, Ferns Intermediate Hurling Championship, in Innovate Wexford Park on Saturday afternoon.
Conditions were far from ideal for hurling and deteriorated as the game went, so much so, that the second semi-final, Buffers Alley and HWH Bunclody, had to be postponed, re-fixed for the weekend of the 19-20 October.
A low scoring game it was 1-04 to 0-4 at half-time in favour of Cloughbawn, Crossabeg were guilty of many scoreable wides in the opening period, 7 wides in total in the first half. Cloughbawn raised two fortunate green flags in the game, but in Saturday’s conditions, every score counted.
