A local woman, in her 50’s, who was a front seat passenger has died following a road traffic colllision on the Gorey to Wexford (R741) at the Kilnamanagh turn-off for Kilmuckridge.

Two vehicles were involved in the rear-ended collision which happened around 2 pm this afternoon. The seriously injured woman was taken to Wexford General Hospital and was later pronounced dead.

Both drivers in the vehicles were also taken for treatment to Wexford General Hospital where their injures are described as non-life threatening.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them. They want to hear from motorists who travelled the road at the time of the collision and who may have dash cam footage to contact Enniscorthy Garda Station on 053 9233 534, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
