Sophie takes fourth in National Grand Prix

Sophie Richards and Gradje O took fourth place in this afternoon’s Underwriting Exchange National Grand Prix at Barnadown. The combination were one of only four double clear rounds from the fifty six starters.
Victory went to Kevin Gallagher, with the American owned, Bugatti X. Former national hunt jockey, Paul Carberry, took the runner-up spot, less than two seconds in arrears, he would have been much closer but for breaking a stirrup midway through the round. Edward Doyle Jnr and Billy Guilder, took third place.
Liam O’Meara, was crowned the National Grand Prix League winner, this meant the Tipperary rider has bagged that title for three consecutive years.
The action continues tomorrow at Barnadown where the final leg of the New Heights Champions Series takes centre stage.
