Soccer returns at the weekend

Soccer returns to the county as the opening games of the 2019/20 Wexford Football League gets underway over the weekend. Last year’s Premier Division came down to the wire, holders, Moyne Rangers will be keen to retain their title, although they have a free weekend.
Only four games take place in the top division, and most interest will certainly centre on the tie between North End and Gorey Rangers, both teams will be looking to set down an early marker.

Premier Division 11am
Campile Utd v Bunclody AFC
Cloughbawn FC v Rosslare Rangers
Forth Celtic v Wexford Bohs
North End Utd v Gorey Rangers

Division 1 11am
Bridge Rovers v Adamstown
New Ross Celtic v Ferns Utd
St Cormacs v Glynn Barntown
Corach Ramblers v Moyne Rangers
North End Utd 2nd v New Ross Town (1.00)

Richard Walsh, Bookmaker, has priced up the Premier and Division 1 championships, but the closeness of last year’s league, is certainly not reflected in the 8/11 offered about North End.
