Darragh O’Connor, Clonroche, has signed for Premier League side Leicester City.
The 20-year-old defender, moved from Cloughbawn to Wexford FC, in January, and has made 20 appearances for the club, he made his League of Ireland senior debut as a sub against Cobh Ramblers in March.
Darragh impressed in trials for the Foxes in July and signed for their Under-23 squad this week.
He played under-age hurling and football for Cloughbawn; won U-16 county championships in both codes for the club and played in goal for the Wexford minor football team, as well as playing for Good Counsel at school level. On the soccer front, he played from underage level with Cloughbawn AFC.
