Ciara White from Knockbine, Ballymitty and a member of Cushinstown Macra na Feirme will represent Wexford in this year’s International Miss Macra Festival taking place in Tipperary over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Ciara, who has been very active in Macra, having taken part in both Know your Ag and Queen of the Land, works for the Department of Agriculture and also enjoys Cattle shows, with her Irish Moiled Heifer winning Best of Breed at last years’ Tullamore Show!

24 contestants representing 20 counties (including Switzerland!) will compete for the honour of being crowned International Miss Macra 2019, following on in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Josephine O’Neill of Kilkenny.
