Great excitement in Wexford equestrian circles following the fascinating news that the Wexford Pony Club Senior Mounted Games team today qualified for the RDS Horse Show next month.
The successful team of Millie Finn, Jill Finn, Seamus Nolan, Padraig Nolan and Emma Simmons under the guidance of their chef d’equipe Michael Finn have brought great pride to their club and county and can be trusted to give a championship performance in the big August international showpiece..
This is a huge achievement for the team and history in the making as they are the first Wexford Pony Club team ever to have qualified for a place in the prestigeous Dublin Horse Show.
A spokesperson for the Wexford Pony Club has expressed huge congratulations to the team and have praised all the parents who have committed to this journey over the past number of years!
Other Wexford riders to qualify this year for the Dublin horse show include David Furlong in the four year old young event horse class with his mare Thistletown Oldrock Cloe and Joanne Corish in the young Rider under 25 eventing class. Also Taylor Pere in the Senior Combined Training.
