The 70th annual Bannow-Rathangan Agricultural Show taking place at Killag, Duncormick, tomorrow (Thursday), is expecting an estimated attendance of 15,000 and is being described as ‘A fun day out for all the Family’.
There are 350 Trade Stands turning the event into a tented village and traffic management will apply on a number of approach roads. Plenty of free parking spaces.
The show classes, home industry, vintage machinery, the dog show and children’s entertainment are amongst the most popular activities.
Highlights include the €6,000 Galway Irish Crystal/Beleek China/Horse Sport Ireland Three-Year Old Horse All-Ireland Championship Final;m the €3,500 Pettitt’s SuperValu Novice Showjumping Championship, the €4,000 Jim Bolger National Grand Prix Showjumping League series, the Horse Working Hunter Chasers with a prizefund of €2,500 sponsored by Enniscorthy Show Society, and the All Ireland Home Cook, junior and senior, Championships hosted by Chef Adrian.
