The south east leg of the Horse Sport Ireland “Young Handler Championship” takes place in Adamstown Show on Saturday the 6th of July. The competition is run over five qualifiers within the five IHB regions and will take place from June to September. The top three young handlers from each qualifier will be eligible to compete in the final at the National Ploughing Championships in Fenagh.
There are two categories; a junior section (14-18 years) and a senior section (19-25), the prize money on offer at each qualifier is €1,400. The first of the qualifiers takes place on Saturday at the “Flavours of Fingal”.
