It was a disappointing Saturday afternoon on the Camogie front as both the Senior and Intermediate teams suffered defeats in Bellefield.

Wexford’s opening game in Group 1 of the senior championship resulted in a heavy defeat to last year’s All-Ireland runners-up, Kilkenny. St Martin’s sharp shooter, Chloe Foxe, was responsible for all of the home sides scores. Next up for Wexford is an away trip to Limerick next Saturday.

Tipperary 2-15

The Wexford Intermediate side suffered their second defeat in this year’s championship, always on back foot, they trailed their rivals by 8 points at half time, 0-06 to 2-08. On a positive note they matched their rivals in the second half, 1-04 to 0-07. Their next outing is in two weeks time with a home fixture against Derry.
