Louise Codd made her four hour trek to Tullylish, County Down, pay dividends on Wednesday morning; she took one of the five RDS qualifying places on offer in a competitive field of 39 starters in the 4yo class. Louise both owns and rides the Future Trend (OLD) gelding, bred by Hilary Furlonger, County Antrim, she is out of the Last News mare, Cashmere Breeze.

Major Cross (ISH), bred by Michael Murphy, Clohamon Stud, Bunclody, also qualified in the 4yo section, ridden by Ian Cassells, he is by the Group 2 winner, Insatiable, out of a Tasset mare.

The final Young Event Horse Series qualifier for the Dublin Horse Show takes place next Tuesday in Rincoola, County Longford.
