Body of skipper recovered from the sea

The body recovered from the sea yesterday evening has been formally identified as that of Dom Sinnott, (45), skipper of the Kilmore Quay registered vessel ‘Ellie Adhamh’ who went missing from his trawler while fishing off the Wexford coast in the early hours of last Friday morning.
The body was discovered by a fishing vessel 64 kms off the coast of Rossalre and was brought ashore with the assistance of the Irish Coast Guard and handed over to Gardaí and the HSE.
Mr Sinnott was reported missing at 5.45 pm, 20 miles south of the Saltee Islands last Friday morning.
Rosslare Harbour RNLI launched at approximately 6 am at the request of the Irish Coast Guard following a report that a fisherman was missing from a trawler that left Rosslare in the early hours of this morning
Lifeboats from Rosslare Harbour RNLI and Kilmore Quay RNLI and Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 117 from Waterford, along with local fishing vessels, became involved in the recovery operation over a 100km area including the Saltee Islands.

R. I. P. Reposing in his mother Lily’s home on Friday from 3 pm until 9 pm. Removal on Saturday at 10.30 am to St. Mary’s Church Kilmore for Funeral Mass at 11 am. Burial afterwards in the New Cemetery Kilmore.
