The 35th annual AIMS (Association of Irish Musical Societies) Choral Festival will fill St. Michael’s Theatre, New Ross, with beautiful audio over the coming weekend – Friday to Sunday, 17-19th and some of the music may spill onto the streets of the Barrowside town.
Friday is themed ‘junior day’ and will attract schools and individuals from all parts of the country.
There is an immense range of choirs and choral genres embracing everything from sacred music to musical cameo.
A special gala night occurs on Saturday night and award-winning talent will include groups from the local St. Michael’s Theatre Musical Society, the Wexford-based Oyster Lane Theatre Group, Enniscorthy Musical Society and New Ross Musical Society.
